With Spring weather here in Switzerland being a little patchy, we’ve had to work in some pretty heavy conditions in order to get prepared for the challenge to come. The first overnight adventure brought a lot of cold mist, wet snow, and almost constant rain during the night. Needless to say we became proficient with tarps and anything to avoid water coming in to the camp. A recent fan of hammocks, I was not quite fully prepared, and maybe could have benefited from an underquilt. It has been a fun process to learn, nevertheless, and new items have been ordered to compensate for any short comings in kit.

Seems it was quite an intense training-adventure — I guess it was good in a way to have such challenging conditions, to maximise the learning opportunity! Cool website!
